Why is that? I have 4 of them going right now. I'm gonna transplant them to the garden pretty soon. They are a few weeks older than "satyr's" rustica's.
I also have the Blosser and Wasson and Hoffman strains of Salvia. I've already taken a cutting of the Wasson and Hoffman. It's rooting right now. I failed on a few before. It The W and H Salvia strain seems to grow allot faster than Blosser.

Yep, its already starting to spread itself out like ordinary grass. Quote:

Ive noticed this as well. When I first recieved the plants in the mail, they were messed up from travel(they arrived in my mailbox the day I left town and sit in the hot sun for 4 days). The Hoffman-Wasson took off pretty vigorously, while there wasnt much growth with the blosser. But now, The blosser has taken off very rapidly and actually seems to enjoy more light than the H-W. Its interesting to watch them grow along side each other and analyze the differences in the two apparently similiar plants. Quote:

I will definitely do that, Ive heard interesting stories about people harvesting rustica without gloves, lol.

Because the leaves become really sticky with nicotine containing "resin" and can absorb into your bloodstream through your skin. I was picking my N. rustica a few years ago and I started to get really dizzy and nauseous. It wasn't fun.
