 PFCake Surgery to Remove Green Mold

So I found a little spot of mold on one of my cakes. (Guess what? It was the one I didnt dunk and roll.) The spot was very tiny, maybe three milimeters in diameter.
The cake is fruiting, so I decided to cut the section off.
I washed a sharp knife and cut out about a 1" x 1cm section. Hopefully this will do the trick.
BTW, I am misting with tap water. Think Ill switch to distilled next time.
Anyone think my cake is gonna make it? Is it safe to leave in the FC?
Any other general thoughts?

I found another little green spot so I said fuck it and picked the fruits and tossed the cake.
