Has anyone ever seen contamination like this? This is a malt/dextrose LC. It's been sitting in the Incubation Chamber for a month or so. I hadn't looked at it in a few weeks until a few days ago; this is what I found. It has the characteristics of a kombucha culture, and it seems pretty solid as it doesn't break when I shake it. Coincidentally I've brewed kombucha in the same room. It doesn't seem likely like it could have spread to my jar though. But I'm not an expert.
By the way there is myc in there, but it appears to have stopped growing.

Damn near all of the malt lc's I do end up like that if not swirled a couple of times a day. You'll know if a mold's present in a culture like that. The mold will start to grow on the mushroom mycelium that's in contact with the air. That one looks good to me. You'll need to simply shake the hell of it in order to break that mycelium up.
By the way. I and quite a few others don't approve of Photobucket. If you could upload your images here, you may have more opinions. I didn't realize they were PB images, or I wouldn't have even looked.
