Risks of using contaminated jars?

What are the risks of using contaminated jars? I noticed green mold at first, but the mycelium seems to have taken over and the jars appear fully colinized with a slight off-white color where the mold was. Is it safe?

I had the same question recently. After studying a little bit about contams I learned that trich mycelium can also be white-ish. No way to tell for sure thought what type of myc it is. If you saw green, especially powdery green, than the mold has already sporulated, which is bad. If you birth the jar you could contaminate your other jars, or your grow area, which would screw up future grows. Play it safe and toss it.
