Red/pink miscoloring of rice substrate

My rice substrate has been growing mycel for the last 7 weeks. It was quite slow but the label said that this strain of fungus was a slow colonizer. Also I had quite alot rice. However, one of the jars developed green mold. I managed to get rid of it using a spoon and spraying H2O2 solution over it. Later on when I was about to case it I smell something that can be described as alcohol (wine more likely) and the rice (not the mycel itself) was colored slightly red or pink in some spots. It wasn't really glowing but enough for me to notice.
I'm wondering what could do this?
- Contam? - Over watering? - Mycel "poop"? - Been too long in "mycel mode"?
The mycel itself looked fine, all clear white. I put it in a casing also but isolated it from the rest.

It should have been tossed out as soon as you saw the green. It's always a mistake to try to dig contaminants out with a spoon. You need to throw that thing away before it pukes contaminant spores everywhere. RR

Really?
I read that you could spoon it out and spray H202. The contam hasn't returned. Okay, but I am still curious about the red thingeys. The box is out as soon as I've slept through this evening.
But for future information: Does anyone know what the red coloring of rice means? Is it a side effect of the green mold?
Should I take wine scent as a hint to throw the can away ALSO?

Ok, I just found a great FAQ on contams. There were mention about pink mold in it. It didn't look like mold though, but I'll read more tomorrow when I'm sober. Thanks, I'll def. gonna remove the casing. No worth risking one's health.

The wine or sweet scent is bacteria. RR
