my second grow, B+ and wollongong

Hi everyone! New to the boards, but not new to the shroomery so much. I have done one grow before, verm/brf tek of some B+. I now have a batch of 6 B+ jars and 6 Wollongong. Jars are about 30% colonized at this point, with a few weaker and a few stronger.
Everyone already knows a lot about B+, so I want to try and shed some light on the Wollies. I can definitely say that the Wollongong are a quick-growing strain, with more strand-like mycelium than the fuzzy crap. It seems that the Wolly jars are colonizing a bit faster than the B+. Temperature is around 85-90 and in relative darkness. I say relative because I have let them have the smallest bit of indirect light.
I plan on casing both strains and keeping them under the same conditions for easy comparison. Im also keeping a log of activity and how each is coming along.
I made prints from my first grow, and I definitely plan on doing it again this time around. So if anyone wants a print afterward, let me know. Last time I just made the prints on construction paper. Any input on a better medium or whatever would be appreciated, as there seem to be a lot of experienced mycologists around here.
peace

thanks creekfreek, will do!
shroomjew23, I'll make prints from the first flush and let you know when I do.
I'll keep updating this thread too, and I plan on buying a macro lens for my camera soon, so I should have some real up-close pics

Alright, got some unexpected news today... I have to travel for work and don't know how long I'll be gone. It could be anywhere from a week to two weeks.
What I am planning on doing is putting the jars in the fridge while I'm gone to slow things down. What I would like to know is if anyone knows if it will have a negative effect on yield. I don't see it being bad, as long as the fridge isn't too cold.
Any input on this?

well first you should lower your temps since the mycelium makes some heat on its own so lower the temp to 75 in your tub. it should take about 2 weeks to finish colonizing so i would just leave them in the incubator.

Wollongong, huh?
There are way too many cube strains out there these days. With the exception of a few(PE, PF, KSSS, albinos), they all look the same to me. Maybe they are

Well, it's been a while, as I had to put the operation on hold while I was away on a business trip for 3 weeks. But things are coming along now.
At this point I have 2 tupperware casings of dimensions 12"x6". One of them has about ten fully-grown mushrooms on it, as tall as 5 inches. Now I don't believe these to be as big as they could be. I think I patched the casing too soon. The second one, however, I let grow out for a few extra days, and it is almost completely covered in nice looking knots. I expect only a day or two and I will see some pins poking through.
I also had a third casing that got contams somehow I tossed the part that had contams and anything around it for a couple inches. So I have half of a casing left that I transplanted to another container. The jury's still out on that one, we'll see if it recovers or not.
I also have 8 cakes that are in various stages of progress right now. Some of these, I dunked and rolled, and some I did not, so I could compare yields. They were all dunked, but only some were rolled.
Now onto the pics!
The somewhat so-far successful casing (it's my first, don't hate on the overlay, if it is in fact overlay!)

Look at this guy, the cap is turning purple! Haven't seen that before!

One of the good cakes, so far

Another one

And, my really good casing that I have high hopes for (no pun intended)

One more thing... This is one of my Wollongong cakes, and it appears to have stalled or something... the mushrooms just stopped growing and have taken on a greyish color...
any advice or input?

That cap is turning purple because the mushroom that grew next to it a bit taller had dropped spores and they landed on the cap. Nothing to worry about, just a bunch of spores. Other than that, you got a nice grow goin on. Peace.

I'm not positive, but maybe that Wollongong cake's fruits are turning that color because they are starting to rot.
Not positive tho.

For some reason I cant get the pic to expand, but it looks like they might have gotten wet and stalled. I just pic them and throw them in the compost bin when they look like this. Maybe RR would have a better answer to this question.

Thanks man! The thing is, they're so far away from each other... There's no way they just 'drop' spores, they've gotta be shooting them! To have gone that far, when both mushrooms are really almost about the same size! I'm baffled!
