Aight, this has taken wayyy too long, I used the PF TEK from youtube. I used vermiculite, brown rice and used a coffee grinder to turn into a flour. Used a pressure cooker although kinda lost on how to use it. Jars sat on rack on top of washer and dryer for almost a month, one cake going so far and looks decent, how can i steup up the pace? What can i use to make things go quicker? does it look healthy?

WinAce.zip (450,093 bytes) 5 downloads [Copyrighted?]
i got the huge bag of vermiculite at home depot 10 bucks got a box of whole grain brown rice - coffee grinder to make flour
did the mix and did the pf tek with pressure cooker with glasses i had in the kitchen with alluminum foil. used pressure cooker with the best of my knowledge how to use it with racks on bottom. put stove on small bubbles at med or med high. put on there for 90 min then took all out to cool off. waited 4 hours and when i got off work i used to syringe spores. put out on rack in porch for over a month now. small glass colonized 100% and ive got a bigger glass going almost 100%. small glass has been dunked and rolled with vermiculite. so far in the past 3 days now its been in a small tupperware container with a layer of perlite and water together for more than enough moisture. now cake is very very white and fuzzy.

seems like a lot of work for one little cake, BUT it seems to look like it should.

Well, I'm new at this too, right now I have several jars in my FC and around 15 waiting to go in. Since you also have a PC, here's a link that I'm trying now. It's for FooMan's wbs http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/5265629/page/0/fpart/1/vc/1

That's adorable. If you get one dry gram off of that I'll give you a spore print. I really do hope it works for you...but I did literally laugh out loud when I saw your fruiting chamber and baby cake. Is that cake really as small as it looks to me?! I want an update. ~Pixie~

Here ya go. http://www.mushroomvideos.com/21149_7760.asp Watch all four parts and you'll have better success. These videos are on youtube too, but you must have missed them. Use wide mouth half pint jars as shown, and part three is the terrarium tek. You'll not get much action in that little tupperware container. The air gets stale too fast, and those tiny cakes are going to dry out before they can produce anything. RR
