hey everybody i have a couple of questions i hope a more experienced grower can help me with.
1. I have five small casings in my FC right now they are all straight rye berries cased with the 50/50 tek.I incubated them for 3-4 days until i seen mycelium coming through the casing layer. Now they have been in the FC for 10-11 days. The mycelium as u can see in my gallery has covered more of the casing layer but still no pins.I dont know if Im being impatient or what that is why i am asking for all of your thought or suggestions cause Im new to grains.the stain BTW is amazon.
2. I also have the pint jars of rye berries colonizing right now that seem to have quit producing mycelium,do you think these are done or again am i being to impatient, please help a newbie w/ some question.also here are some pics of those.

It looks like you opened your jars before they were fully colonized? If that's the case, you fucked up.

why are even trying to fruit them in the jars in the first place, that's not that efficient.
1. have you covered the jars so light does not get to the mycelium, that would help, wrap them with foil or something
2. those look pretty close to being done colonizing, what i like to do is when they get to full colonization, i will shake them a few more times, so each individual grain will be fully covered with mycelium. but you must make sure to check them everyday, or more like twice, cause once they get there it won't take but a matter of hours for the grains to start sticking together very well. after that it won't take long at all to recover and leap when you mix them with whatever bulk sub your using.

Yes the jars are in an incubator and the dont get any light and i am not trying to fruit them in the jars those are casings in 32 oz tupperware containers, in my FC.They are about 7 inches wide, not jars at all.
