Tossed cake outside?

So I had 3 cakes that ended up with some wierd pink stuff on it, not alot but enough for me to toss them. Now my question is, what if I throw them outside in the yard? What if something grows? any possiblity of the mycelium kicking the pink outside?

Try it and see, got nothing to lose. Mother nature usually takes care of contaminants outside...
Throw away the pink stuff though... no point putting that in with it.
Not entirely sure on the edibility though... have to ask someone with a better knowledge in this area.

this topic has been covered hundreds of times, try using the search feature in the upper right
but to answer your question, yes, if kept moist it is likely you will get a few mushies from your tossed cakes, i've had trays that were covered almost entirely in green and still produced nice fruits when thrown in an outdoor patch
