 Extraction tips?

I usually just eat shrooms wet, but it's in the making to do it differently tonite.
I'm getting ready to extract some psilocybin from 7 grams of dried pulverized mushrooms and making some "electric spearimint tea" for a shroom out tonite.
It's my understanding that a hot bath extraction with water around and under 212 degrees F. will produce a psychoactive tea.
But for a good extraction I read that Methanol (Wood Alcohol) should be used. My problem with using wood alcohol to make an extraction is that Methanol is poisonous, and I don't want to mess around with something I'm not too sure about...
My ultimate question is, and I think it should work, that would regular 151 proof drinking alcohol be suitable for maximizing extraction into a tea?

you'll be just fine just using hot water to make the tea.

you can use alcohol if you want, if you like the taste, and it will preserve it too, but if you're not going to save it then just do tea, but don't boil the mushrooms in the water, after the water is boiling, pull it off the stove and throw in your shrooms and tea, let it sit for at least 20-30 minutes.....

Well, I usually take a couple shots of hard liquor when I'm shrooming out... it prevents any kind of paranoia for me and enhances it for me some. Some people say it dilutes the high of the shrooms but I've found that to be quite the opposite.
Thanks guys for the tips, I'll put in a little alcohol just in case it does pull the psilocybin out a little better, even tho I'm sure the water will work just fine.
