howdy everyone, new to the forums...thought i would say hi  my name means father of goodness lol, i live near the great lakes and am finally persuing a LOOOONG time goal....
im moving out of my parents house in a few weeks and ive already started working on my setup. i bought a PK for $6 today, almost finished getting supplies for my GB. im gonna share what i am expecting to do and have already started on, i would appreciate some constructive criticism.
glove box - ive got a 10 gallon fish tank turned on its side, a plexi glass "top" with 2 holes for pvc fittings with dishwashing gloves attached...caulked the whole rim of the tank and glued wood to all the side and the "top", screws will hold the top to the fish tank. theres a hole in the plexiglass with a pvc cap. this is to spray sanitizer inside and be able to quickly close it.
im using the PF TEK and making cakes from BRF and verm, using the smallest wide mouth jars..the usual.
my fruiting chamber is so FAR just a little box with some verm in the bottom. i hope to later get an indoor greenhouse and a small cool mist humidifier...
am i missing anything? any advice? tips? this is my first grow so i would appreciate ANY help. i hope to be a regular poster here and a part of the community. ^ ^

welcome to the forum! Sounds like you've done some reading and are on the right track. BRF cakes are a great way to begin. I'm sure you've read the PF TEK, and that's a great way to get started. Cased WBS is just as easy, but will require a bit more reading to get going. check out Agar's tek and/or Doc's tek.
also, i've done work both with and without a glovebox. As long as you follow sterile procedure, in my expereince I have had little contamination issues. The glove box is just an added unecessary expense. Plus, it can be difficult to work in AND can be dangerous because it fills with gas that can ignite and explode and ruin all of yuour work or stqart a fire!

dont use vermiculite in your fc, use perlite. good luck

Welcome to the Shroomery! Experiment with PF cakes and casing method's a bit before moving on, I know it's fun but don't get ahead of yourself after your first successful BRF cake hehe. (I know I sure did big mistake.) Pace yourself and have fun!
