I currently have some straw logs resting in there respective fruiting chambers and I was wondering if there was an easy way to tell if they still contained enough moisture. I also wanted to to know if I should soak them like a casing after their first flush. The logs are approx 14 x 5 inches long and are housed in small poly-vented tubs with perlite for humidification
The best way to tell is to pick up the log and judge from the weight how much moisture is in it. You'll compare it to the weight right after spawning. Dunk if necessary. RR
