 How long before picking fruits should I stop misting?

I'm asking because I misted last night and picked in the morning (trying to get some extra growth). I weighed in at 238 grams which I was happy with and after drying today in the dehydrator I ended up with 14 grams and was not as happy since I was projecting 23 to 20 grams. That is approx 95% water and I never have had 90% water content it is always higher. So that is why I was wondering how many hrs before harvest should I stop misting? The fruits are not wet when I pick them out of the fc from the prior nights misting of about 8 hrs prior. They are dry to touch when I pulled them and I'm using a shotgun fc.

Don't change your misting habits. If you upgrade to an automatic greenhouse you may end up having several trays in at a time, and therefore wouldn't be able to stop misting your final stage fruits. You should keep misting no matter what stage you're at, in my opinion.
Hell, I stopped measuring water weight a looong time ago. As long as your crops are coming up nicely you should be content. If you are setting yield goals, you ought to step your game up to cased bulks. If you want to get denser mushrooms, maybe try a strain that is more prone to developing thick fat fruits. PE, OI.. My last batch of Maz were real funky and thick.

I wouldn't mist during the last 24 hours. It isn't necessary, and your fruits will be of better quality if you'll let them dry out slightly before harvest. Commercial button and shiitake mushroom farms always back off on spraying during the last 24 hours too.
