 printer is cutting off top and bottom?

it does not do it on every page.
its sometimes one line, othertimes 2 lines, while sometimes only half a line that gets cut off
it happens sometimes at the top of the page and sometimes at the bottom
its very very annoying
if it helps i will list the model HP 6110 all in one

Not sure.  Maybe try and update your drivers.
Make sure the paper is going into the feed smoothly.

ok i think i know whats wrong but i don't know how to fix it
ive been looking at my printouts and at the top it starts printing immediatly. in otherwords there is no room for any lines at the top of the paper.
however at the bottom of my paper there is about an inch of blank space.
i do not know how to change this. my printer option is listed as 8.5 x 11 inches

First you need to figure out if it is the printer or driver. Print a page from the control panel on the printer and see what it looks like. If good, then you have a driver problem. I suspect drivers over printer.
