Proftpd user directory help
    #8591945 - 07/03/08 03:18 PM (4 months, 18 days ago)

I'm running a version of Ubuntu Server with LAMP and GNOME Desktop installed.

So I installed proftpd and gproftpd for shits. I got the ftp server working but when I try to setup multiple users it doesn't point to the user's home directory. Instead t always points a specific home directory. It's a directory that I want to designate to a specific user but instead it's like the default for the entire server. I have tried google but haven't found the answer yet.

Also, what is a good value for the Group field? Currently I just enter the same as the user.

Anyone care to point me in the right direction? I can post my proftpd.conf file if necessary.

look into the chroot option as well as virtual users... not sure if pro does it, but pure does.
