 Best GPS software appears to be free (firefox addon)

A week ago I have bought a Garmin Etrex GPS device and I want to share my experience with some GPS software. So far I have tested EasyGPS, GPS Trackmaker, OziExplorer, Google Earth, Virtual Earth, EarthWind and... the free Mozilla Firefox addon Minimap Sidebar.
To my own surprise the latter outperforms all the other alternatives. The addon import the most important track & waypoint formats, projects them all on a Google Map (even if you do not have Google Maps installed) and shows gives information about the mph speed at which each waypoint was taken. This is info that Google Earth only provides to Google Earth Plus subscribers!
