computer help ...please?

Hello fellow shroomerites! haven't posted in awhile!... I don't have a computer right now...(I'm at the library)... my girlfriend gave me an old computer that I can use... I picked up an old 20 dollar monitor from someone on craigslist... unfortunately the monitor doesn't plug into the computer... the monitors plug in is too small for the blue part where you plug it in .... in the back of the comp.... is there an adapter or anything I could purchase to fix this? thanks!

How many pins are there on the monitor plug? If it's really old and there are only 9, it's an EGA monitor and it probably wasn't worth the 20 bucks :tongue:

. You could try an adapter like this but it's not guaranteed to work, and you can only run in EGA mode which is 640×350 16 colors. It might be good for a text console but not much else.

However if the cable looks like this or this it might be usable.
