Best free DVD ripper?
    #8397784 - 05/13/08 05:57 PM (4 months, 26 days ago)

I did a quick search of the forum but it seemed every related thread was at least 2 years old. I thought maybe there was something newer everyone was using.

I got a DVD of my skydive last weekend and I want to rip a copy of it. I need an application that will rip and convert it into a format suitable for Youtube. Maybe even with the ability to resize it at the same time to make the file size manageable for a Youtube upload. Is there anything that'll handle this job with ease?

to rip, i still use a mixture of ripit4me and dvddecrypter...I think dvdFAB is the newer one, but I like what I use for now, as it works fine.

As for converting to other formats, there are tons of free video converters...my new favorite is MeGUI for the x264 command line encoder...might be too high quality for youtube though, do they not supply one from youtube? seems like they would try to make it as easy as possible for people.

peace

Thanks for the help. Heres the video. Someone tell me if the file is still too large. I don't want it to take too long to load.
