This is an interview after the Gulf War. Cheney described the exact situation we are in with Iraq now. Why did he proceed with this fruitless war if he knew this?

9 years after this video the state of Iraq was much different. Saddam had put oil exports on the Euro standard, and the U.S. wanted to put out a firm message to the international community - Keep your dollars or we will invade you.
I don't think the administration though occupation would go anything like it had been going... think about it... this is the first War of its kind, you can't really compare anything to it.

Did you catch the part near the end where he was talking about Iran recently rejecting use of American banks, not trusting the Huge Debt our country is in? It seems that same message we sent to Saddam wasn't clear enough for Iran, and we MUST get it through to them! After all how else can we pay it off without that percentage of Iran's massive oil transactions going into our debt-fund?

Yep. I smart professor of mine said the best news you can get on international relations is the Economist. All you have to do is follow the money, thats what its always about. Everything else is just mud in the water.

If Bush is The Decider,
Then Cheney is the Viceroy Decider.
An excellent way to represent the real authority of your country, for His Majesty Dick clearly calls the shots.

The thesis that I want to advance today is that the drug war and the laws that prohibit the private consumption of certain drugs are unconstitutional. Prohibition laws, themselves, violate every tenet of limited government that is embodied in our Constitution.
