Someone today said that we were winning the war with Iraq. It got me thinking. We are not, at all, at war anymore. We are in what is called occupation. We are in occupation of a country just like Hitler did in The Holocaust. America's is no better than Nazi Germany. NO wonder the rest of the entire world hates us. I for one LOATHE being labeled an American and just living in America in general. Unfortunately, other countries are not very accepting of Americans so I cannot just up and leave the country. I would however renounce my citizenship (due to the government's assholery) if it would help my chances.
Also why do we not just annex Mexico???

I see your point and agree on many of the issues that you present. But we were never "officially" at war with Iraq.
Some countries might not be very accepting of us Americans, but, many citizens in some of these countries understand that the things this administration is doing in Iraq and potentially with Iran is not our(the citizens) fault, the news over seas is covered better than the news we receive here in the U.S.
I for one still love this country, but I am afraid of the things the government is doing to us and the way they are dragging this once great country through the mud.
Finally, keep ranting, more people need to know that there are many of us who are tired of the things that are going on here and we need to keep the word out.
I would rather annex Canada...

Although the actions of our government are despising, people around the world are accepting of dissenters.
As long as you show them your not a average ignorant American they most likely won't show bias towards you.
But yet I agree with you...

Nope. The militia is not formed by the majority of Iraqis or Shia, they are a minority.

The difference is there wasn't violent opposition in Germany.
And because of the lack of independent reporting in Iraq, its debatable whether the majority want us there or not. I'm assuming the majority want to live their lives in peace, which isn't going to be achieved as long as we are looked at as occupiers, not liberators.

Hannity and O'Reilly are both admitted opinion talkers. They do not pretend to impartiality. They are also in the minority, hence the bias.
My solution? No, you silly boy, I merely stated fact. After Hitler conscripted every able, and many not-so-able, into his war effort there wasn't much left when the fighting was done.
We are in fact well on our way to winning the occupation, as are the Iraqi people. An ever dwindling supply of foreign thugs and indigenous deadenders quite clearly trumpets a new day dawning in at least one former dictatorship in the middle east.

You are all incorrect about this not being a war, in the sense of fighting an enemy army, or that the "War part is over".
This is the WAR ON TERROR. The WAR part is still very much alive. It will never end, because the armies of EVIL DOOERS are always lurking in the shadows to harm you, to persuade you politcally.
Because that's what terrorists do; they use intellect to influence politics. We can't have any of that in America. You only get to pick from the political ideologies you see on the TV. If you do harbour such thought-crimes, you need to SHUT UP (credit to Billo), because trying to persuade your neighbours and fellow citizens is terrorism.
