A 2001 photo of William Ayers, an associate of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, shows the former terrorist stepping on an American flag.
As Obama has gained national prominence as a Democratic presidential contender media figures have questioned his relationship with Ayers. Ayers once hosted a fundraiser for Obama and the two have served together on the board of a philanthropic organization.
ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos asked, “Can you explain that relationship for the voters, and explain to Democrats why it won't be a problem?”
Obama replied that Ayers “is a guy who lives in my neighborhood, who's a professor of English in Chicago, who I know and who I have not received some official endorsement from. He's not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis. And the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn't make much sense"

I know the majority of folks on this Forum will have no problem with this photo (some will like it) but I bet it will do some damage to Obama on the TV airwaves this fall.

If Obama had views that were at all similar to those of Ayers, I would strongly support him. He doesn't, though... not even close.
I don't know why you insist on posting any & every story attempting to make him look like a reincarnation of Malcolm X or Huey P. Newton, considering that the only people who are going to be frightened of him being such would never vote for Barack Hussein Obama, anyways.
Oh yeah, William Ayers has done more to increase the future prospects of poor inner-city youth in one day than George W. Bush ever will do (considering I don't believe that giving them employment as cannon fodder overseas to make fortunes for rich white men is doing them a favor).
It's a pathetic testimony to the shallow intellectual culture in America (& the belief some have that there really is debate going on) when Obama being on the board (several years ago) of an organization with Ayers, an organization trying to do some good for disadvantaged children... that this is more a focus of debate in the media then the lack of affordable & educational opportunities in poorer areas of the U.S. What a pitiful tabloid society.

The photo isn't even the issue, the issue is whether obama supports his controversial activities. On that there seems to be a poor case.
I don't know why you decided to couch the issue in such a way that it ignores the obvious question of what this has to do w/ obama.

These arguments are the lowest of the low in terms of relevant discousrse. If the issue is relevant than discuss it on its own merits, not on what the emotional impact might have been in another scenario.
If the argument doesn't have merit, then why are you bringing it up at all? And if its to illustrate an unreasonable position of some hypothetical person, why are you bringing that up when its irrelevant until someone adopts the position you presuppose?

And, so, presto, properly analyzed and interpreted, we now know that Obama was a tool, or pawn, or stooge, of William Ayers as Ayers controlled the Chicago Annenberg Challenge from behind the scenes.

On top of that i cant believe there are people who are still convinced Obama is a terrorist!
