I've got this nice fruit about the size of my fist. The spines are starting to elongate a bit. Is this the right time to harvest or should I wait?

Personally, I'd give it another couple of days. They can still be a bit tough at that stage. Pick just before or just after you begin to see a few spores dropping.

YUMMY! i need to find some lions mane culture. they are one of my favorites, tastes like lobster.

I ended up sauteing it with butter and mixing it with rice and soy sauce.... yum. I just started some enoki so well see how that goes.
