Growing Reishi from wild fruits

So I stumbled onto a nice reishi stump while out hunting for morels a month or so ago. I decided to do a tissue culture and try to cultivate this valuable medicinal strain on sawdust blocks. It took 4 plates to isolate a non contaminated sample, now I have a good plate, but I'm wondering if it is even worth trying to spawn it.

Is it likely to get fruits from a wild reishi culture? Or should I drop the 20-30 bucks and buy a proven fruiting strain?
