could some one hook me up with a gourmet culture, my oysters went to shit and i really wanna get out of growing cubies, Just built me a positive pressure glove box so that will help out with my contam problems, thanks
oh yeah I'm looking for anything that is similar to growing cubies as i have got that down pretty good.

oysters are hard to get going from a store bought specimen to karo or agar. The best bet is a tissue to straw transfer then grow it out and take you spores from what you produce. I gave up on oysters but i have shiitake on karo from a kit that i bought from www.sporeworks.com . It is the most vigourous thing i have ever seen on karo. Hit me up on the pm and i could get you a culture.

Alder is not the BEST type of to use
Heat drying cubes is okay and recommended
Sunflower seeds do not cause contams
You should directly mist your cakes

Hey tahoe, about those myths...
Just b.c it works for you that way doesn't mean that it works the same for everyone else, it's always done differently somehow in some way, there's so many variables that you can't 100% bust the "myths", you have no control and no variables, sry for jacking ur thread, im out...

my myths arent busted with one time trial runs. Each once has been tried over 100 times, except the cake thing which is about 20 times, all with 99% sucess rate. I used to like you until i found out that you were an ungrateful liberal
