 want to start growing edibles

hey shroomery,
whats up this is my first post in the Gourmet and Medicinal forum. heres the deal i have successfully cultivates p. cubensis and i have put together a greenhouse. its made out of a hanging wardrobe with cookie sheets as shelfs and is designed to hold ten, 6qt. sweater boxes. there are two of these hanging side by side in my closet. so my fruiting chambers hold a total of twenty, 6qt sweater box's. it has a ultrasonic humidifier for humidification and a mattress pump on a rheostat and a timer for Fae. got a presto 23 qt cooker so i am all ready to start a large grow. the dilemma is that i don't think it is the right time or place for a large grow-op of an illegal mushroom. so until i graduate in oct. and move out of my apartment i think i am going to grow some edibles. so i am going to do some reading in this forum and decide on a species only thing is i won't be playing with any poop so i was thinking oysters. so if anyone has some input or maybe a spore print or even just some good info on were to get edible spore prints

i'm in the same boat as you. sporeworks has edible prints and cultures if you want to buy them. or you could clone off shop bought shrooms, which is what i'm gonna do in a few days.

i was thinking one qt of spawn to 4 qts. of coir. do oysters do good on coir?

no idea, never grown edibles yet. i'll let you know when i do! mind you, oysters grown of sawdust and the like (wood-based substrate) so i imagine coir would be pretty good. but sawdust is free, free, free

One recommendation... Don't talk about actual illegal activities or suggest that you might be doing/planning them. Something about that in the Rules here. Plus, you'll only get yourself into trouble.

Lion's Mane are really fun to grow. Substrate used was sawdust, woodchips, and wheat bran with a dash of gypsum.
