 perigord truffles?

I would suspect that this delicacy is a fungus of some kind. Does anyone have ANY info at all regarding the cultivation of this wonderful fungi? I heard successful cultivation of this species is actually quite challenging.
Anybody of experience or ideas on the cultivation of Perigord Truffles?
