 Scarlett Johansson covers Tom Waits

Yall are going to probably tear me apart for even posting this, but she just released a cover album apparently and I'm curious as to anyone's impression of this. On one hand, I have one of my favorite (looking) actresses and on the other hand I have one of my favorite singers. Well, even if it sucks, it's still going to raise awareness of Tom Waits, who has always been underrated in my mind. I've only been able to find a couple older vids on youtube of her singing, and all I can say is that she's not terrible, not great, but I expected to have to tear her a new one.

She needs to start drinking straight bourbon and smoking 10 packs a day and maybe her voice will sound better. Well more like Waits.

Pitchfork gave it a 5.5, I expected to see like a 3 out of them.
I just got back from the CD store I always go to, and the guy who works there, who has pretty vast music knowledge and good taste, said it was pretty bad. I'm not a Waits fan so I just don't care.

shes so awful; scarlett has fallen a long way and she needs to be smacked with the truth until she bleeds.
She's a terrible actress as well who gets by with her looks.

i give her less than 1% chance of her pulling off tom waits... needless to say im not looking forward to this. tom waits is one of the most overlooked artists.
