The majority of modern consumable music is....
    #8362268 - 05/04/08 06:18 PM (5 months, 18 hours ago)

the product of a million monkeys on typewriters.

People often ask me where I find the weird music i play. I say "its the sound the radio makes when you turn it off".

the music industry reminds me of WWF wrestling. The people we call "fucking retards" or "yougn children" that believe the wrestling is real are no different than the majority of people that think their favorite rock star really wrote those songs.
you would be amazed at how many of your favorite songs were not written by the person you think.
even people you "know" wrote the song you love them for... probably didnt.
The rights are sold and confidentiality agreements signed and binding. In the end, they can say they wrote the song while fucking the real author in the ass, and the person that really wrote the song isnt allowed to object to that statement.

Like you, a majority of the bands I listen to aren't played on the radio. However, a song doesn't have to be written by its performer in order for it to be good. Didn't Bennie Taupin write most of Elton john's Disney songs? and those are my favorites of his.

I think he wrote most of Elton John's lyrics, period.

To the OP: so who are some of these rockstars who really don't write their own music? I want you to NAME NAMES!
