Satsang!
    #8388255 - 05/11/08 07:02 AM (6 months, 9 days ago)

Im going to satsang today with a modern day Buddha, my beloved master Mooji.

If you had the opportunity to attend and could ask one question, what would you ask him?

Its a beautiful day in london, 27 degrees, no clouds only blue sky, just an awesome vibe everywhere and im having satsang later tonight once the temparature goes down a bit, i could not be happier

One Love

just kidding
it could be a fine chummy question to ask the buddha how his mother is.
otherwise, all this concern about asking of a question is really out of context.
he may talk about something.
a good question would relate to what he spoke about,
and would make what he was teaching more meaningful to the whole group in attendance.
so, rather than thinking something up in advance,
just pay attention to what he talks about.
personal questions in public settings (like "I always wanted to know about...X" are not that cool - it's just another ropportunity for "look at me, I'm talking with buddha").

I would ask what kind of twisted psyche feels the need to pretend they are spiritually superior to another and by who's authority they call themselves 'master'.

More importantly, I would ask myself why the need to bow before another.

Perhaps it is only the 'master' that can produce this emptiness/fullness/wholeness/oneness/bliss.
Damn, we'd better give up self mastery and succumb to the master's mastery. Or else.:hehehe:

If I could borrow five bucks.

And what OC said.

LOL he would never ask someone to call him master, this surrender comes from what you feel in his prescence which is pure love unbounded, you just know he is a Buddha. When you look into his eyes there is just the deepest emptiness staring back. The only thing Mooji's ever reffered to himself is as a sage and he never even says that directly. Superiority is nothing like what you feel from him, everyone is a Buddha, he's just there to bring it out.
The need to bow before another? You got this so twisted, theres no-one there to bow before, if anything he bows before you! No words can relate what this is all about and your not even truly interested. A doubting mind will always be a doubting mind. If you truly seek truth & inner peace you will find it.

I know what your saying red green & i didnt have any questions prepared i was just thinking what others would ask because i couldn't think of anything myself! Just being there was enough. In the end i asked a few questions spontaniously but i cant even remember what he said back, its irrelevant really, its not the words he says, its what they come from & point directly to, its not about the intellectual aspect of the question "who am i?" its about the feeling that goes inside when you ask the question  Thats all it boils down to, finding the "I".

Simply happy  (ps theres nothing to realise really, life is just good)

Mooji's going to be in the US for pretty much the whole of October and i highly recommend that any of you should go sit with him, even OC, the happyness which you feel is just indescribable, since last night ive been in an amazing state of peace & joy.

Theres no words for what i felt, when hes infront of you its just like any other dude sitting there, flesh & bones, but when he stares you directly in the eye something happens, some dirt inside gets washed away and truth shines through...

Please go see him when he is in america, i promise you you will not regret it!!!

Thats enough words, the silence says it all if you hear its truth...:peace:

I dont know who they are, part of a brain washing cult i assume? Like heavens gate or something?
Mooji doesn't brainwash you he de-brainwashes you! Leads you to the point where you are without attachments, concepts, beliefs, basically before conditioning.
Brainwashing is adding more conditioning. We are all brainwashed by society, its simply taking a look at what you are before this conditioning, which is the highest bliss.

Anyway you guys should really check him out, his teaching is very simple & so profound.
I went to sleeping laughing and woke up laughing this morning! Since the satsang i've felt light, peaceful, loving & just happy to be alive. All this from just being in the presence of another human being just like you or me. Please check him out hes frickin awesome, i cant wait for the next satsang in june for a whole weekend!!!

Love is so simple & so intense!!! :psychsplit:

Jus like Fivepointer, you miss the point again and again.

You tell us some guy is a Buddha.

Someone else tells me their teacher (Jim Jones or ?) is also a Buddha/prophet.

I should believe you and not someone else because...?

Forget the cult thing. Address the fact that zillions of people follow false teachers and swear they are true - JUST LIKE YOU!

Your discernment is impeccable and everyone elses' is far afield?

Your doubting mind OC, quite impeccable in its doubt.

I think lots of lost people are just searching for a teacher, so end up finding phonies as they are just waiting to be taken advantage of. I was never looking for a teacher it just happened. Just check him out man you can tell he's a nice guy

I know that what appears on the surface is not always real, i was actually very sceptical at first last night, as when he first walked out i expected a fanfare or something like i could see him glowing with light  but what i found is just a human being that brings out all the joy, peace & love that are inherent in your being.

Im not saying you should believe me at all! Please don't, check him out for yourself, i never asked anyone to believe anything or expect anyone to. That would be false belief. Blind faith, which is only practiced by the blind. I'd actually challenge you just for a second to believe absolutely nothing and see what happens, drop every single belief and see...that should be easy for you as you deifnately like to question, and thats really great because its all about self enquiry, instead of questioning others question yourself! Find out who "I" is...

:peace:

Fair enough, but being emotionally moved tells us what? Just about the most charismatic figure of the last century was unquestionably Adolf Hitler. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, felt he spoke to their spirit in an uplifting manner.

Charisma is necessary to a manipulator. All great politicians have it. It has nothing to do with being spiritually advanced.

Do you see what I am getting at?
