My ears ring all the time
because I have tinnitus.
I wish they didn't

How long did it take for your tinnitus to develop? And was it because of being exposed to loud music too much? After having my ears ring for 24 hours after leaving the club I realised how much it would suck to have that 24/7 so I'm going to use earplugs from now on whenever possible....

It was from listening to headphones 3-4 hours a day for a few years. Not especially loud either, just very often.

My ears ring like fuck when I smoke DMT. I get tinnitus fairly often because I have meniere's disease in one ear, but the tinnitus from DMT is something else; the ringing is "discrete" from instant to instant, rather than a single, ongoing sound of buzz like I get every other day. It's more like a machinegun than a single sound.
Is this post relevant?

the ringing I'm talking about started for me when I began a more serious meditation practice, and it happens in zazen and sitting in restaraunts...
the difference between this ringing and the normal faint ringing I hear all the time is like experiencing the force of high tide that comes at random
you're saying my frames of experience are collaborating in deafening silence?
you're calling me a tuning fork? I can't have this

all this talk about things that modify and equip objects as subject to objects seems ridiculous...it is like the spinning of the earth
and it is when I transcend ridiculous spinning in a ridiculous manner that my ears ring

I don't know if it is my ears or if it is my head, but yes, I have tinnitus 24/7. Normally in one side more than the other. But when I concentrate on it I find that I can actually play with it, take the pitch up or down, move it from one ear to the other, or make it resonate so strong that I actually get dizzy. I strongly suspect my heavy use of headphone during my teenage years to be the culprit.
