 DMT invitation; should I accept?

Recently some bloke from my school invited me to do some DMT with him, I told him I'd see what my schedule's looking like. I'd like to try DMT, but I'm not too sure about taking a psychedelic with a stranger, I'm a bit fragile and if I freak out it'd end up really weird. My only previous experiences with psychedelics have been mushrooms; I freaked out really bad on my last trip (some of you may remember that trip report haha). What do you guys think I should do?

i smoked dmt for the first time last weekend after the eoto show. i was peaking on my candy flip when the pipe was handed to me. i would definitely do it! coolest visual experience i havee had from any drug and the love in the room when we all came down was the best i have ever experienced. i feel alot more connected now

A DMT trip can be one of the most important events in your entire life, I think you should experience it either by yourself or with a, very, close loved one. Personally, the only other person that I can trip with is my girlfriend, and I don't even trip DMT with her. Something are meant to be experienced by yourself, and I believe DMT is one of those things. Theres a saying "You are born alone, you die alone, and you trip alone". I forgot who said that, but I truly believe that it applys to DMT.

First time i smoked it I freaked, thought I was dying, it felt so real to. Very cool visuals and I felt a very powerful entity was with me. Defiantly go for it, try and be as relaxed as possible when you do though.

I'm not necessarily advocating it, but how well do you know the person? It's not like some person walks up to you out of the blue and asks if you want to smoke some DMT with him. I'm personally more of an introvert, so I prefer to trip alone, or if with others, only those I know and trust well.

It seems like DMT is being used by more and more people everyday. This is a crazy time we live in. I like it ... well it's alright.

yes its totally becoming more and more heard of ....but that is a major leap in the evolution of thought- if the majority of people smoked dmt and "brokethrough" i in my new mind feel we would def be living a better life on this earth

Just a little background on me... Up until 2 years ago, I hadn't done any drug except prescribed medications. As a matter of fact, I was very *anti* drug. Suddenly one day I just had this epiphany. First, that I was a hypocrite, of sorts. Preaching about the dangers of drugs, without ever having tried or researched them. Second, that I was meant to trip on psychedelics, because there was something I was to learn (likely about myself).
I started with salvia leaf. It did nothing (tho at the time I didn't know you may have to do it a few times to work), then 5x, 10x and finally 40x, but there was no breakthrough or visions. On the 40x (admittedly it was a lame hit, I'd never smoked anything before salvia, so it was a harsh smoke to start on) the most I got was feeling like I was sitting in the middle of a stream with a fast, strong current. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to breakthrough eventually.
On to the OPs dilema. I've since read and listened to alot of Terrance McKenna, and especially interesting was when he talked about DMT ("fucking astonished"... great stuff...). I did weeks of research and finally did my first extraction, with no prior chemistry experience and horrible math skills. At any rate, it succeeded and I ended up with a bit of DMT. I have to say I don't like the smell, nor the taste.
So I finally had it in my hand and I was at that point. Should I do it? The only other drug, other than salvia, that I've ever taken is cannabis (wife harassed me til I tried it, glad she did). I've never "tripped" really, never had visions, etc. I had no idea what to expect at all and I was a little worried about it. I was tempted to keep 'postponing' the trip. That's hard to do when you've done so much work to actually get the stuff, so last night I sucked it up and went on my first trip. I didn't break through, but it was mind blowing. I was vaguely aware that my jaw was just hanging open (out of shock, not a bad kind either). Even just the minor trip was absolutely amazing. I think everyone should trip on DMT at least once, and I absolutely love the afterglow effects.
The effects are very short acting, so you don't have long to wait at all if things go wrong. That being said, with a stranger? My personal opinion here is that that would be a very bad idea. Not to mention, you should make very sure it is actually DMT. There are alot of jerks out there.
My suggestion would be to extract some yourself and then do it, preferably with a trip sitter you can trust. But I would recommend trying it, if only once.

If i were you i would go over his house and just chill for a few hours and get to know him and get comfortable and if your comfortable enough you can do the dmt.

That's an interesting road of experiments.
Anybody I've ever read who has tried DMT has at least eaten mushrooms or LSD. You went straight into the most powerful psychedelic known to man. That's cool.
