I just read that gypsum is a water hardner and lowers the PH... why do you suggest that use of Gypsum in this tek...?

The gas exchange holes are spelled out for you.

It means malt and dextrose.

When you are incubating your jars do you have a gas exchange hole or should it be sealed?  Do they need a gas exchange port when you are storing them in the fridge?

I was just wondering, when you say malt/destrose do you mean use 1 tbs malt AND 1tbs dextrose or just 1 tbs of one or the other?
