Cap conical, with patches of fine velvet-like fibers on the surface.
Stipe: with velvet-like fibers along most of length. Hairs with slightly bulbous bases but no lecythiform cells.
Smell: mealy on cutting.
Spore print: dark rusty brown
Gill edge: with lecythiform cheilocystidia c. 16.5-20/7-8.5µm, head =4-5µm
Basidia: 4-spored
Spores: yellow-brown under microscope, with germ pore, 10-12(13)/6-7µm
Habitat:  Found in grass and mulch.  Sometimes on "Mix'nMulch" in greenhouse reported finds.
