What can and can't I do with colonized grain jars?

You can case grain directly You can inoculate more grain jars You can spawn bulk substrates like straw, cow or horse dung or compost You can make mycelium syringes You can't.

  • You can case grain directly (however, some type of grain by itself makes a bad substrate, such as WBS).
  • You can inoculate more grain jars (grain to grain, or simply g2g).
  • You can spawn bulk substrates like straw, cow or horse dung or compost.
  • You can make mycelium syringes.
  • You can't fruit directly like a PF Tek cake (exceptions apply).
  • You can't use small jars, such as 1/2 pints (actually you can, but it's not enough spawn. Quart jars are preffered).
