When you begin with mushroom cultivation there is some initial cost since you need some items that you most likely don't have laying around.
This is only a rough cost estimation if you will be growing according to the
PF-tek and can vary considerably depending on the prices in your area.
This estimation assumes that you already own a big pot or a pressure cooker and some other household items.
Aproximate cost estimate:
- 12 x 1/2 pint widemouth jars with lid $10
- 1 pound brown rice flour $1
- 1 gallon bag of vermiculite $5
- 1 gallon bag of perlite $5
- 2 spore syringes $25
- 10 gallon rubbermaid container $10
